1911-D Lincoln Cent. PCGS graded MS-66 Red. Well struck with nice even mint red on both sides. No spotting on this gem. The first cents coined at the Denver Mint were released to the public in the early part of 1911. The 1911-D Lincoln Cent debuted at a time when the mint were reducing their activity and the number of employees on their staffs. This same development prompted the cessation of operations at New Orleans in 1909. What was overlooked by early collectors was that most 1911-D cents entered circulated. Dazzling red gems of this coin's caliber, if you inspect the records, are scarce as hen's teeth. Pop 17; 1 in 67. A very choice coin (PCGS # 2446) .
Estimated Value $8,000 - 8,500.

Realized $10,350
