Vatican. Florino di Camera, ND (c.1475). Fr-23; CNI XV pl.XV,17; Berman-448. 3.39 grams. 21.22 mm. Sixtus IV (Francesco Della Rovere), 1471-1484. Arms in quatrefoil. Leg: .SIXTVS.PP*. - .*QVARTVS. Reverse: St. Peter in fishing boat. Leg: *.SANCTVS.PE TRVS.ALMA.ROMA. Well struck and a visually stunning coin. NGC graded MS-64.

The portrayal of St. Peter in a ship would later become a very standard design. Here is one of the first (and surely one of the finest), examples of this type.
