Glatz. Ducat, 1549. Fr-1068; Saurma-Jeltsch Pl.XXXVII#15. 3.55 grams. 21.73 mm. Ernst Count of Glatz, 1549-1554. Obv. Three shields within beaded inner circle, date above. Leg: +MONETA AVREA.COMITATVS.GIACEN: Reverse: Crowned Bohemian lion left. Leg: +ERNESTVS.DG.COMES.PALA.RHENI.V.BA.DVX. Choice well struck example with an abundance of mint luster. Very Rare. NGC graded AU-58.

Glatz is located in modern Poland, and is known today as Klodzko. The city became part of Bohemia, but with a German population. Never very large or very prosperous, few gold coins were minted. This is a great opportunity for the specialist.
