Lot 3537

Great Britain. Crown, 1936. S.4036; ESC-381; Dav-110; KM-836. George V. Modified head of King facing left. Reverse: Crown and date within wreath. Only 2,473 of these coins were produced, and most were melted or circulated in commerce. This is as nice an example as can be obtained. Fresh surfaces, an absence of the bagmarks or scuffing which is normal on most wreath crowns, the 1936 is the third rarest of the dates and probably the toughest to find in this grade. NGC graded MS-63.
Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,400.

Realized $1,320
