Lot 3188

Great Britain. Shilling, ND. S.2482. Edward VI, 1547-1553. Fine silver issue (1551-1553). Facing bust of King, rose to left, value (XII Pence) to right. Mint mark, tun. Reverse: Long cross on shield. One seldom sees a coin of this reign with such an incredibly well preserved portrait. With original luster and a light golden/ blue tone, it is unlikely that this coin will have seen circulation. NGC graded AU-55.
Estimated Value $2,500 - 3,000.

Realized $2,128
