Dedicated to the emperor, Napoleon. In French. "Preceded by an essay on Chinese numismatics, with clarification on Greek commerce with the Chinese and on the precious vases still found there." A fold-out map shows the route of a Greek caravan to China. Covers are taped at spine and worn at edges; interior is easily read, with some scattered foxing. 168 pages are dedicated to the history of Chinese numismatics.
