Marcus Aurelius, 161-180 AD. AE Sestertius, Rome mint, struck 174-175 AD. Laureate head right. Reverse: Mars in military attire advancing left. holding Victory and trophy; IMP VII COS III, SC. RIC 1128 var. (bust cuirassed); BMCRE 1504. Well struck and centered, on tight, thick flan. Sharp and well detailed; Mars with considerable eye appeal. Attractive glossy black-green patina. Nice Extremely Fine.
