Trajan, 98-117 AD. AR Tridrachm (10.36 g), of Arabia Petraea, Bostra mint, struck 112-114 AD. Rare with aegis on portrait. Laureate bust right, aegis at shoulder. Reverse: Distyle temple with eagle in pediment, and cult image of Artemis of Perge within. SNG ANS 1160 var. (drapery instead of aegis). Sharply struck and finely centered on very round flan. Lightly toned and very lustrous. A choice example of this interesting and exotic coin. Extremely Fine.
