Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, AR Tetradrachm (17.05 g), Tarsus mint, c. 323-317 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle; at left, Nike flying right with wreath, caduceus below; EΠ monogram and Θ beneath throne. Price 3048b. Sharp strike, with wonderful high relief portrait of Herakles. Fine old toning. Choice Very Fine / Very Fine.
