1882, $5 National Bank Note. The New Amsterdam NB, New York, NY. PCGS Choice About New 55PPQ. . Fr-477. . KL-1125. A sharp serial number 3 example of this scarcer New York City bank that is represented by just a dozen notes, all Brown Backs, in the census. It is well margined, with extra selvage at the bottom as it is the "D" plate position note, and the colors are simply stunning. Several low serial numbered examples have survived from this bank, but this is one of the nicer that we have seen.
