1872/1 Half Dollar Octagonal Indian Head. . BG-937, High Rarity 4. NGC graded MS-65 Prooflike. Yellowish to tawny-gold in color with a bold originality rarely found, the surfaces reveal a nothing in the way of abrasions. Frosted devices contrast nicely against the prooflike field. It is interesting to see, as well, that it was struck from well-prepared dies that imported a sound and in point of fact, a bold design in all areas. Pop 2; none finer at NGC.
