1873 Pattern Trade Dollar. Silver, reeded edge. . J-1293. . P-1435. NGC graded Proof 64 Rarity 4. Housed in an old holder. Lovely gold and lilac toning. Basking under original toning, the reflective luster supports satiny-surface main devices. A sharp strike is seen at all the stars as well as Liberty's gown and the globe at her side, clearly the dies were spaced at the correct distance to impart strong metal flow in these area; the reverse details are similarly resplendent. Very scarce. Pop 6; 4 in 65 (PCGS # 61578) .
