1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Lettered edge. NGC graded MS-63. Nicely toned with light to medium "old silver" patina, the under-surface of mint frost beaming through. Wide rim serrations. Rarity 2. O-113 is a common variety but has unusual double outline on the drapery clasp, unlike others in the series. The stars and milling are almost always sharp on this well-made variety (PCGS # 6169) .
