1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Lettered edge. . O-117 Rarity 3. NGC graded MS-63. Nicely toned on both sides with some areas of sky blue and other colorful iridescence. This handsome offering has frosty mint bloom beneath the color, and choice surfaces throughout. In this variety, the 1 in the date is unusually low, and star 8 is recut. Line 1 of stripe 2 is solid to crossbar 2. A slightly better variety (PCGS # 6169) .
