1891-O Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. ICG graded MS-63. A decent strike with excellent surfaces that exhibit die clashing as made. Last year of the O-mint seated Liberty quarters and a low-mintage issue as well. Lovely natural antique turquoise toning about the borders. We agree with the grade. Rare low mintage dates such as these are seldom seen this choice (PCGS # 5525) .
The 1891-O is the only With Motto seated date struck at the New Orleans Mint and it is also the only New Orleans Mint quarter struck from 1860 to 1891. The mintage was quite low, only 68,000 Quarters being made this year.
