(Hawaii) Kaawaloa, South Kona Land Transaction. Land transaction between John D. Paris and his wife Mary C. Paris and their son, John D. Paris, Jr. relative to land at Kaawaloa, South Kona, Island of Hawaii, 3pp, 12½" x 8", 24 Aug. 1881. Very fine. John and Mary Paris signed with green seals. Also signed by Thomas Brown as Registrar of Conveyances and J.W. Smith, as Agent to take Acknowledgment. John D. Paris, Jr. was elected to the Territorial Legislature in 1887; he was a member of the Reform Party. He took charge of his father's land and cattle in 1874 and in 1880 purchased his ranch in Kealakekua.
