1869/9 Indian Head Cent. MS-63 Red and Brown. The 9 in the date is recut, with the first 9 in the date cut a bit high, then lowered into proper position. Long known as the 9 over 8, this variety remains scarce and in demand. Rare in this state of preservation, with full original red and a few minor areas starting to tone over. Awash in luster and top-quality for the variety.
