1847 Coronet Head Cent. . N-11, R4-. Fine-12. Sharpness F15 with several dull rim nicks on the reverse, strongest at F, M, and the N in UNITED. Glossy dark olive brown with steel brown highpoints. There are traces of reddish brown verdigris at TATE but the remainder of the planchet is smooth and problem-free. Rare LDS, die state c, with strong, clear rim cud breaks at stars 9 & 11. Tied for CC#7 of 12 known with the two cud breaks, and the cuds are weak on several of those. Comes with an impressive provenance as well.
