1846 Coronet Head Cent. Tall date. . N-12, R1. VF-25. Close to VF30 with a few light contact marks on the obverse, including a small nick on the chin and a faint hairline scratch in the field over the bust tip. Glossy light olive brown. Extremely rare LDS, die state f, with a clear rim cud break from star 2.5 to star 5. Tied for CC#3 of only 7 known showing this intermediate stage of the expanding obverse rim cud. This is the discovery coin for the die state.
