1839 Coronet Head Cent. Booby head. . N-12, R4+. VG-8. Sharpness a couple points higher but there is shallow, dark crud in protected areas at the bottom of the obverse, mostly at the dentils between the date and star 13. Small contact marks cover both sides, but none of them are notable. Rather glossy mix of olive brown, reddish chocolate, and lighter brown. Late die state with a strong bisecting die crack across the obverse.
