1839 Coronet Head Cent. Silly head. . N-9, R2. MS-60. Lustrous light olive and chocolate brown with a half dozen small spots of reddish brown toning on the reverse. The notable marks are a small spot of dark olive toning at the base of the second S in STATES and a pinprick inside the C in AMERICA. M-LDS. The obverse die cracks are clear and a rim cud extends from left of star 6 clockwise to star 11 and another smaller rim cud is visible over star 4. Called MS60 and tied for CC#16 in the Noyes census, his photo #31676.
