The surfaces are smooth and the only significant mark is a thin planchet crack (as struck) at the rim off the bust tip and in the dentils over F in OF. A spot of greenish verdigris shows inside the C in AMERICA. The reverse is considerably sharper than the obverse with details of F12 or better. The date and legends are complete and strong. Struck slightly off center to K-10 on a cut-down Talbot Allum & Lee Cent, and the planchet is a bit egg-shaped instead of round. Undertype from the TAL is visible at the 17 in the date and over UN in UNITED.
