Lot 140

1794 Liberty Cap Half Cent. . C-6a, R5+. VG-8. A couple points sharper with traces of very light roughness on both sides and microscopic reddish verdigris dusted around the lowest curl and bottom of the wreath. A faint hairline scratch down from the cap is the only notable sign of contact, and it is barely visible. Slightly glossy steel brown and chocolate with reddish brown tints in protected areas. The reverse is slightly misaligned to K-5 causing weakness at the fraction, but everything else is complete and clear, and the date is bold.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 2,000.

Realized $1,955
