1794 Liberty Cap Half Cent. . C-1a, R3. NGC graded AU-58 Low Relief Head with Repunched 179. Choice glossy dark chocolate brown. The surfaces are highly glossy and perfectly smooth offering excellent eye appeal. The only mark is a small rim nick off the chin. MDS, Manley state 2.0, with delicate die clashmarks on both sides and the reverse rotated 30 degrees CW from a perfect head-to-foot orientation. The repunching on the 179 in the date is clear. EAC grade EF40. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. The Large Edge Letters feature is included on the NGC label, but this can't be verified in the slab.
