Lot 130

1793 Basal State-1. . C-1 or C-2 Rarity-3. Rather glossy steel brown and chocolate with splashes of reddish chocolate brown, mostly on the reverse. The surfaces are smooth and free of significant marks, just heavily worn and probably retoned. The date is faint but readable with some effort and the portrait is relatively clear, but the reverse is worn smooth so the precise die variety is unknown. The edge is beveled at the upper left of the reverse obliterating the HU in HUNDRED but the remainder of the edge lettering is readable. The obverse grades a solid Fair-2 but the reverse is a 0 (if such a grade exists).
Estimated Value $300 - 600.

Realized $242
