("Amos 'n' Andy" Television Series) Spencer Williams, Jr (1893-1968)) African-American actor/director discovered by Gosden and Correll when casting the television version of their popular radio series Amos 'n' Andy. Williams portrayed Andy in 78 half-hour episodes between 1951 and 1953. 7½" x5½" photograph from the TV show, issued by CBS TV and signed and inscribed across from the photo on the inside of the holder, "To: Kathy. Hel-l-o-o-o! From: Spencer Williams Jr. / Andy - Amos N Andy TV." Excellent condition.
