1923, $5 Silver Certificate. . Fr-282. . KL-252. CGA Choice Uncirculated 63. An attracctive lovely Porthole note has choice deep, strictly fresh embossing of the type that one associates with Gems of this variety. It's almost never this pronounced on this later type. This example is also a finely design piece of 1920s Americana, with its portrait of the 16th President in a round frame. A very popular type, only used from 1923 to 1928.
