1899, $5 Silver Certificate. . Fr-272. . KL-242. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. Consecutively numbered pairs. Exceptional Paper Quality accoring to PMG and confirmed by our inspection of its exceedingly choice appearance. The head of the Indian is Running Antelope, a member of the Oncpapa tribe of Sioux Indians. George F. C. Smillie engraved the portrait, but the feathered war bonnet is from another tribe. This is the only issue of U.S. paper money for which a Native American was selected as the central subject.
