Lot 2816

1860 Liberty Seated Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 64. Nicely toned on both sides. Only 1330 proofs issued. An appealing fresh golden toned specimen with accents of subtle colors here and there around the stars, the legends, and outlining the main devices. Fully struck, and unmarred by discoloration or contact marks, it rests high within its Proof 64 grade class. The 1860 issue, due to a large percentage of the issue being melted, is quite difficult to encounter in this nice a grade showing full original uncleaned surfaces with characteristic Proof reflection in the fields. Pop 44; 7 finer; 1 in 65; 6 in 66. (PCGS # 7003) .
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000.
