1847-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-63 PQ. Magenta and golden sunset toning. Well struck. The 1847-O is not generally considered a rare date among early New Orleans Mint half dollars mainly due to its mintage of nearly 2.6 million pieces -- comparatively high. These factors ignore its true scarcity in the collector marketplace, however, especially the better grades. This nicely toned example is well placed for a high quality set of seated Liberty half dollars, struck boldly and with resolute precision on the key devices. Pop 4 finer in 64. (PCGS # 6259) .
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,200.
The Greenhill Collection.

Realized $2,358
