1909 Indian Head Cent. PCGS graded MS-65 Red. Slightly faded mint red color. Pop 550; 138 in 66 RD; 3 in 67 RD. A blazing deep red to coppery golden gem of the finest order. Intense cartwheel luster fairly leaps from the surfaces of this prize S-mint rarity. One look at the present gem will satisfy your curiosity as to why few examples of the date has been certified finer than the present coin. For that matter, a collector would be hard put to find a more truly beautiful eye-appealing specimen of this popular issue with not even a smidgen of softness on the main devices (unless you want to quibble about a few rounded ends on some of the feathers in the Indian headdress). Only 309,000 minted (PCGS # 2237) .
Estimated Value $350 - 400.

Realized $460
