Frostburg $1.00 Note, Frostburg, MD. PCGS Apparent Fine 12. George H. Krebs, who issued these notes, was a coal, real estate and lumber dealer. He was a successful and well-known businessman, and therefore his notes were honored throughout the western regions of Allegany County. With less than 5 of these known today, the Krebs notes are considered extremely rare. PCGS has noted "Repaired Tear at Right". Shank 53.2.8, R-7.
