Cumberland Bank of Alleghany $5.00 Note, Cumberland, MD, Proof. PCGS New 61. Here is a possibly unique note, virtually as bright and pretty as the day it was issued. A good portion of the surviving notes on this bank were proofs, the present piece included. Not pictured and only described in Shank's book, this is a testament of this note's rarity.
