Cumberland Bank of Allegany $5.00 Note, Cumberland, MD, Proof. PCGS Apparent New 60. Mounted Proof. This is an incredible rarity, and quite probably unique. Featuring an unusual combination of an Indian princess and a spinning wheel, this note represents an early proof from a rather successful Cumberland bank, a rarity indeed during this recession-era time period when most paper money was worthless. It is both the Haxby and Shank plate note. R-7, Haxby MD-160-G30, Shank 30.3.10.
