1877-S Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. S over horizontal S. PCGS graded MS-64. Frosty and well struck. Tiny mark on Liberty's knee otherwise MS65. Pop 6; 1 in 65; 1 in 66. A delicately toned but still very lustrous, and well preserved specimen which has a recut mintmark. Something similar happened in 1909-S to the Lincoln cent, which also is over a horizontal S (PCGS # 5507) .
