Lot 1760

1857 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. A gorgeous gem! Well struck with warm, deepening sunset tones. An unusually high quality coin for the date, this specimen displays, instead of the usual whiteness, some of the most riveting colorful toning we have encountered. The colors swirl before our eyes. The underlying luster is fresh and appealing. Moving along, we can gladly report a highly presentable strike, also, with boldness to the centers and stars (two areas where this year's coinage sometimes comes up short). So all in all a pristine example for the connoisseur of seated Liberty coins. Pop 228; 3 in 67; 1 in 68. (PCGS # 5442) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 6,000.

Realized $5,463
