1886 Nickel Three Cents. NGC graded Proof 65. 4,290 proofs struck. Mostly untoned. Blazing mirrors with somewhat satiny leanings on light champagne gold surfaces. A touch of weakness is seen at leaves and ribbon ends on the reverse, possibly the result of extensive polishing of the die; however, the main devices as well as the central Roman III are all crystal clear and sharp on this well made, well preserved Gem Proof.
