Patton, George S. Autograph Letter Signed "George S. Patton Jr." 8pp, 6½x5", n.p., 19 Oct. 1909. Fine; a couple of minor soiled spots. Written to his mother during his last year at West Point. In part: "…I am a hell of a sport when I go to stables I dress up in my good clothes put on my new gauntletts and carry my swager [sic] stick…I hope my dressing counts…." He recounts a trip to the theatre, a "violent flirtation," and being on guard duty and giving "a poor buck six months in the mill 'jail' I inspected and found him asleep on post….I looked up all the old regulations and had them inforced apparently for the first time in months…."
