Muybridge, Eadweard. "Animal Locomotion". Ten different original photo-plates from Muybridge's 1887 classic photobook, each plate being 19x24". Except for one plate showing a bird in flight, each plate has multiple images of nude men (2), women (7---2 of these with a child) in various stages of motion, such as walking, turning a flip, throwing a ball, etc. Muibridge was the pioneer in this area of scientific study and his works were used to correct presupposed ideas of motion, such as whether all four of a horse's hooves were on the ground at the same time. Images are sharp; margins have some dusting, soiling, and edge tears.
