Lorenzo Palmer Latimer's Autograph Book From Art School. Autograph Book Signed, "L.P. Latimer / San Francisco / June 22nd 1877" on the first end page. The book is filled with autographs, poems, and 15 original drawings by California artist Latimer's fellow art students and friends between 1877 and 1881. Raymond Yelland made an original drawing and signed it and Grace Carpenter (later Hudson) signed a page. The covers are in bad shape; the inside is in good condition; the pages with drawings having only some toning and occasional light soiling. Latimer was a leading landscape painter in California between 1880 and 1940. A little research into the other signers could be rewarding.
