(Hawaii) Honolulu Land Deed. 1½pp, 12½x7¾", 28 January 1857. Deed by which Peter Johnson Gulick buys from O.H. Gulick and Alvah K. Clark the tract of land "described in Royal Patent No. 261 granted to Keliihuluhulu…" in 1850. Extremely rare black Royal Monarchy stamp at upper left has a crown encircled with "HOAILONA PAI O KE ALII ROYAL STAMP" in black ink. Peter Johnson Gulick was an early missionary who arrived with the Third American Company. From 1865-1870, he conducted a boarding school for Hawaiian girls at Waialua, Oahu.
