Baptist Missionary Society Centenary Medal. 1892 medal commemorating the establishment of the BMS in 1792. White medal. On the obverse side, the top reads "Baptist Missionary Centenary, 1792-1892"; at the bottom: "The House at Kettering in Which the Baptist Missionary Society Was Formed Oct 2nd 1792." Around the edges of the reverse are the names Carey, Fuller, Ward, and Marshman. Four circular portraits depict India, Africa, China, and the West Indies. The West Indies portrait has "Emancipation" at the bottom. An open Bible is in the center. Bold EF with a patch of darkening on the side with the building. 45mm.
