Humphreys, Andrew A. & du Pont, Henry A. Autograph Letter Signed "A.A. Humphreys," 1p, 5½x4½", Washington City, 31 Oct. 1879. Fine. To Col. Nicholson, offering congratulations. Humphreys (1810-83) was a Union general. With a Typed Letter Signed "H A du Pont" on U.S. Senate letterhead, Washington,1p, 10½x8", 8 Jan. 1913. Very good; toning and folds. Enclosing payment for "High Cost of Living." Du Pont (1838-1926) reached the rank of Lt. Col. and earned a Congressional Medal of Honor for Cedar Creek.
