1765 Boston Military Summons. Small, partly-printed military order, 3x3¾", datelined Boston, 9 Sept. 1765. Very good; small, expert corner repairs; overall toning and some staining. Signed by Capt. Wm. Taylor, ordering Mr. John Green "In his Majesty's Name…to appear at your Colours…this Evening, at Six o'Clock, with Arms and Ammunition…for a Military Watch. Hereof fail not." Mounted on colored board background. A scarce, early British soldier item, just prior to the formal British occupation of Boston and the subsequent "Boston Massacre."
