1762 Pennsylvania Quaker Manuscript. An anonymous document titled "A Remarkable Dream," dated "30 of M 10 M 1762," 2pp, both sides, 3x8". Very good; toned, with several old tape marks and a couple of small holes. The text, written in a flowing hand, begins, "I thought I was Dead and beheld my body Lay like a corps [sic]…I…asked my guide what is this place he answered heaven…." The writer describes seeing pious friends (now deceased), the smell of sulfur and brimstone, and a woman with flames coming out of her eyes! From the Ridgway-Wayne estate.
Estimated Value $300 - 500.
