1734 King's Indenture For Arms For A Regiment of Dragoons. Partly-printed indenture between John Duke of Argyle & Greenwich, Master General of His Majesty's Ordnance and Lieut. General William Evans, 7¾x12", 13 June 1734. Fine. Evans acknowledges receipt and responsibility of 60 muskets, 60 bayonets, and 60 pistols, all with with brass furniture, their purpose "being to Arm the Additional Men to This Regiment of Dragoons now Ordered to be raised." Signed by Gen. Evans.
