Third person Autograph Letter Signed "The Queen" three times in the text, on gold-encrusted stationery, 2pp, 7x4 ½", Windsor Castle, 8 Feb. 1949. Very good; small stain at one corner of second and docket pages. With important military information regardingWellington, the deaths of Generals Arbuthnot and Guy Campbull; approving Lt. Gen. MacDonnel’s appointment, etc. With "Commander in Chief" stamp on first page; docketed "The Queen.".
