Lot 679

1807 Draped Bust Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-60 PQ. Browning-1. Boldly struck and nice even toning on both sides. All 1807 quarters (140,343 mintage) were from one of a pair of dies, the first with large date and stars (5 berries in the branch, B-2) and this second with small date and stars (4 berries, B-1). A hard to believe array of luster supports smooth frosty highlights underneath the toning. Nicely struck with the design comparable to the best preserved MS60 or better specimens of this date, including Liberty's central hair curls and the eagle's breast feathers. Struck from lightly clashed dies. Pop 4; 32 finer. (PCGS # 5316) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 5,000.

Realized $8,050
