Lot 532

1856 Silver Three Cents. PCGS graded MS-64. Scarcer Type 2 design. Lovely light blue and golden toning. Several raised die lines within the shield stripes. The devices were struck with such insufficient power by the dies leaving most all design elements showing, but a few areas mushy such as the legends and portions of the date, among others. All the same, pleasant satin envelops all surfaces under its silvery radiance, with no the aforementioned attractive patina. Pop 60; 20 in 65; 3 in 66. (PCGS # 3672) .
Estimated Value $1,100 - 1,300.

Realized $1,265
