1919 Lincoln Cent. PCGS graded MS-65 Red PQ. 1st generation holder. The lovely golden to coppery orange color is bright and consistent. A well struck and lustrous Gem that has carefully preserved surfaces.

The year 1919 saw a great deal of social conflict in America after the end of the first World War -- a wave of strikes, the passage of both Prohibition and Woman Suffrage, and the notorious Chicago race riot. A series of bombings by suspected anarchists began in the Summer 1919; on June 2, bombs went off in eight cities, including Washington DC, where A. Mitchell Palmer's home was partially destroyed. (A. Mitchell Palmer was President Wilson's reviled Attorney General.) (PCGS # 2515) .
Estimated Value $100 - 150.

Realized $104
